Born and raised in New York. I met my future husband in Manhattan. “Marry a rugby player, see the world” was my motto. We traveled to exotic places I had only dreamed of! Six children, fifteen moves all around the country and nearly 25 years together we decided to go our separate ways.
I followed my heart to the Pacific Northwest. My love of nature, adventure and people has proven to be quite an experience. Very different from the East Coast, Midwest and Montana, all places I’ve lived. You know what they say; “Home is where the heart is” so I bring my heart to every home. I’ve loved all the places I’ve lived. One thing I’ve learned is that people are the same everywhere you go, once you get to know them.
“A trigger is the doorway in.”
It shouldn’t surprise me that my kids are spread across the country. Currently, a couple in Alaska, a couple in Colorado and a couple in Oregon! It allows me to continue to travel and adventure. From the mountains to the ocean to the dance floor my kids are still keeping me young.
I have journeyed inward as well. I dealt with an eating disorder, anxiety and depression. Their were times when I wasn’t sure I could go on. Cue the kids, they are blessings in so many ways. Their light carried me through until I could stand on my own again. It was the inspiration for, A Prayer for Humanity.
Lessons I've Learned:
Even when we think we’re broken, we’re not
~
You can go to the depths of despair and climb back up
~
You can learn to forgive anyone if you want to
~
It’s a process and no one can tell you how long it will take
~
You have your own inner knowing
~
It can be as simple or complicated as you want it to be
~
I learned that the best way to help others is to constantly be helping, learning and growing myself!
